Inverted triangle bodies have shoulders and busts wider than the hips. To balance out this body shape minimise the top half and maximize the bottom half of your body. In general look for:-

• A solid top with printed or colourful bottoms
• Medium to high cut legs
• Square necks with wide straps
• A one-piece with a high-cut neckline

Avoid plunging necklines and small bottoms

Triangular shaped bodies have rounded hips and bottoms with wider waists than shoulders. To balance this body shape out maximize the top half and minimize the bottom half of your body. In general look for:-

• A printed or colourful top with solid bottoms
• All styles of tops in particular push up
• High-cut bottoms
• A one-piece with a boatneck or racerback

Avoid side-string or printed bottoms

The rectangular body is long and lean with the same width at the shoulders, waist and hips. The main goal with this body type is to produce curves with a defined waistline. In general look for:-

• Bold patterns, prints and details - frills, ruching, embroidery, ties, belts
• Triangle, halterneck, bandeau tops
• String or high cut bottoms and boy shorts
• A one-piece suit with high cut legs and details or a cut out

Avoid solid coloured tankinis and vertical stripes

This is considered to be the perfect body shape. With a well-defined bust, waist and hips you can wear any style of bikini or one piece.
